LiveLearning: Experiential Public Engagement Training for early-career researchers
UCLAN and Manchester Metropolitan University
Applications are open for this AHRC-funded programme, that will develop the competencies needed for effective public engagement and outreach. Workshops are available in:
– Understanding Your Audience
– Event Evaluation
– Securing External Funding for Public Engagement Events
– Communication Skills
You will also have the opportunity to complete a live public engagement project working with local communities to explore memories and anecdotes, and contribute to an exhibition of works inspired by these.

Am I eligible? You need to be either enrolled on a PhD or within three years of completion
Do I need to be in receipt of AHRC funding? No, although priority will be given to AHRC students. Your research must be within Arts/Humanities discipline areas.
Where will training take place? All sessions will take place on UCLan*s Preston campus, and are free of charge with refreshments provided.
How long will the programme last? The final exhibition of the live project is planned for Spring 2012
