MYERS BRIGGS PERSONALITY PROFILING WORKSHOP
Date: Monday 17th January
Time: 12:00-2:30pm (starting with a buffet lunch)
Venue: 10.08 Harold Hankins Building
Workshop Leader: Julian Bond, MBS
Description: This workshop gives you the opportunity to discover your preferred behaviour and thinking style, by completing a questionnaire that is then analysed and discussed with the help of workshop leader Julian Bond, who is a qualified and experienced Myers Briggs instructor. The aim is that by identifying your own type of preferred behaviour and thinking you can improve your performance in your future endeavours.
The Myers Briggs Foundation classifies people into 16 types based on their preference in four categories.
* Favourite world: Do you prefer to focus on the outer world or on your own inner world? This is called Extraversion (E) or Introversion (I)
* Information: Do you prefer to focus on the basic information you take in or do you prefer to interpret and add meaning? This is called Sensing (S) or Intuition (N).
* Decisions: When making decisions, do you prefer to first look at logic and consistency or first look at the people and special circumstances? This is called Thinking (T) or Feeling (F).
* Structure: In dealing with the outside world, do you prefer to get things decided or do you prefer to stay open to new information and options? This is called Judging (J) or Perceiving (P).
