In light of the increasing emphasis on interdisciplinary research by funding councils, I am attaching details of a symposium which explores the benefits and challenges of working in collaborative, interdisciplinary teams. The event will be of interest to all academic staff and postgraduate researchers, and will be held on Friday, 30th January 2015 from 9:00am – 4:15pm in Seminar Room 5 at the University of Liverpool Management School.
This symposium is the second in a series of three events funded by the ESRC North-West Doctoral Training Centre. It aims to offer practical advice and guidance to early career researchers on the applied aspects of interdisciplinary working for addressing complex, ‘real world’ problems. Delegates will hear from leading academics who will provide a first-hand insight into the day-to-day business of conducting collaborative research in their experience as both participants and leaders of such projects.
Attendance is free and lunch will be provided – please register your place by clicking here.
