Resilience is now widely regarded as a ‘must have’ skill to deal with professional and personal challenge and change. Once learned, it strengthens the ability not just to ‘bounce back’ from adversity, but to learn, move forward and emerge better able to meet future challenges.
This workshop is tailored specifically to the needs of Reseachers. It offers a background into the science and psychology, and then practical tools that can be used in everyday life.
Use this as an opportunity to step back from current challenges and then approach them with fresh perspective; a chance to re-appraise long-forgotten strengths, and an opportunity to share experiences with peers.
To get the most out of this workshop, please reflect on and be ready to bring to the session your thoughts on:
- A challenge or adversity you have experienced in the past – one you have either recovered from, dealt with or got through in some way; and
- A current challenge you face
This will be an interactive session, but please only share what you feel comfortable with – as much or as little as you wish.
The session is facilitated by Bernadette Lyons, a Coach and Facilitator with particular interest in the field.
