Separate confidence from competence. Confidence is how you feel about doing something whereas Competence is being equipped to do it. Consider what it is you need to feel confident and the things you need to address competence? You may need a different approach for each and it can be helpful to separate confidence from confidence to begin to work out what you really need. Competency can usually be measured and gained from developing skills or learning information. Confidence is much more personal and in addressing confidence, you will have to consider ‘how you feel’ rather than just what you need to learn..
