Be big. A quick way to instantly feel more confident is to make yourself big. Stretch out and hold your hands high above your head, stand firm with your feet slightly apart, lift your head and chest and stretch to the ceiling. This is a power pose and can instantly increase your confidence. It promotes more positive body language, helps you to breath more easily and deeply and helps to release any anxiety. Many TED speakers use the power pose before they give a talk to give them instant confidence and energy.
