Join us for a full afternoon of uninterrupted writing time! Sessions run from 1:00 – 4:00pm and are a good way to schedule a whole afternoon of writing.
If you’re not familiar with Shut Up and Write (SUAW), it’s essentially a free, informal event in which researchers come together for a set amount of time and write. It’s sometimes hard to just sit down and write for a long period of time. We also set aside time to develop personal writing goals and have short, scheduled breaks in-between writing sessions to help keep you motivated.
Wed 19th July 1-4pm at UoM Library
Wed 2nd Aug 1-4pm at Roscoe Building
Thurs 17th Aug 1-4pm at UoM Library
This event is ideal for writing first draft material, but also useful for editing and polishing. Any activities other than writing (e.g. checking emails, reading) are discouraged. This is your time to sit down and write that draft!
The room will be open 5 minutes prior to the session. Please arrive early enough to allow yourself time to settle in. There are a limited amount of power sockets / extension cords so please ensure your laptop is fully charged. For more information please contact Dr Eljee Javier firstname.lastname@example.org
