Tell people what you do? This may seem unnecessary but don’t assume others are aware of all of your skills. Friends and colleagues who know you very well may not know about your hidden talents. Furthermore, they can facilitate useful introductions and opportunities to practice being more confident. Let them know what you are doing and ask for their ideas and input – it’s surprising to see how the opportunities emerge!
