Managing a large project such as a doctoral thesis requires skill and efficiency. This workshop provides an introduction to project management tools for researchers and how they can be used in order to plan and execute the first stages of a PhD thesis.
The session focuses on defining and planning the PhD project, identifying different learning and work styles, managing difficulties and sharing best practice amongst researchers. Participants will be encouraged to set goals and objectives, how to structure a PhD, how to plan the first year of the project and how to assess real progress.
